"Rainy Po", by Andrew Tess is a coming of age story about a 22 year old girl living in Berlin in 1938.

The character - of Tess' creation -  contemplates her Jewish identity and family's traditional values, as she is arranged into a religious marriage. Her desire to question and explore life beyond the limitations of her upbringing is met to an unsettling actualization of antisemitism in a place she once called home.

Tess’s use of makeup and coffee in many of the works offer a sense of familiarity to the situations existing within the pieces. He looks to understand the fragility of beauty.
