"Scraps is a study of being small.  It is an experiment in what happens when one thing is placed next to another.  The series of paintings were created simultaneously with the selected texts,  although not originally intended for integration. The use of cleaning products on salvaged and recycled materials is a display of movement and transformation.  Nothing is as stagnant or insignificant as it seems.  In placing a piece,  a part,  a scrap of poetry alongside seemingly as small,  something greater may occur.  Scraps is about opportunity,  humble power,  and and an exploration of unlikely ends."
